Just a short drive from The Brecon, Lake Thun offers a different kind of landscape.
Calm water, open views and lakeside towns invite you to stretch the day a little further — by boat across the lake, with a stop at the Beatus Caves, or on to the city of Thun for lunch, a walk through the old town, and time by the water.
In summer, the lake has its own quiet pull. Take out a kayak or SUP, rent a boat, or simply follow the shoreline at your own pace.
In July and August, the Thunerseespiele bring a new open-air musical production to the lake stage each year — an evening of music, mountains and sunset by the water.
A gentle contrast to the mountains, yet close enough to feel part of the same rhythm.
